A compulsory Umpire Education session for all umpires for Seniors and Juniors for Orange Hockey in 2025. All umpires who intend on nominating for State Championship representation must also attend this session otherwise will not be considered for representation. 

Given there have been a number of rule changes in the off-season, and in support of the continued promotion around positive culture towards our officials, we are eager to instill confidence in our umpires. Without umpires we do not have a game, so it is important that our community respect our officials. 

The aim of the session will be to educate all players, coaches, clubs and the community around the rule interpretations and responsibilities of our umpires, coaches, players and supporters. 

Each team for every club must have a representative (coach, manager, captain) in attendance at this session. Fines apply if you do not have a representative of each team at this session. Please note, the only exception will be if a team is playing at the time, and another club representative must pass on information to these teams. 

We are very grateful for the officials who work hard throughout our season, and we look forward to supporting and mentoring all umpires to feel confident in what they do on the field.
